Just got round to processing a few shots from earlier this spring. I photographed this summer plumaged turnstone on a quiet beach on the Isle of Bute in early June. There were around 9 individuals in various stages of summer plumage, presumably all heading north but likely non-breeders given the date.
Also on the Isle of Bute, this cluster of thrift nestled into the granite rocks overlooking the Sound of Bute.
